Thrissur, November 29: In spite of thinking that how effective should be the modern developmental process, we should think that how we can develop the cow-based villages in our country. We should not forget that rural development is not possible without stopping the misuse of agriculture land,” said Sah Prant Karyavah of RSS Shri Ishwar. He was addressing a gathering of goubhaktas here today.

He said it is the unique characteristic of Indian culture to live in harmony with the nature and use the natural resources as per the needs. He said it is due to the uncontrolled exploitation of the nature that the world is today confronted with the questions of correct path of development. He said the cow-based way of life can be the best model of development for the whole world and India can lead the whole world in this regard.

National Secretary of the Vishwa Mangal Gou Gram Yatra Shri Shankarlal said just 50 years back there were no critical diseases as we find today. The reason of it was that maximum number of families used only the cow milk and ghee at that time. He said if we fail to protect the cow, we shall not be able to survive for long. He described the cow as the backbone of Indian development. He said today everyone needs to contribute in saving the cow.

Beginning from Kochi the Yatra reached Thrissur in the evening where it was accorded warm welcome. The meeting organised at Batukknath Temple premises was addressed by Swami Purushottamanand of Vivekananda Ashram, Swami Vishuddhanand and chief of Chinmaya Mission Dr G Mukundan. Shri Shankarlal was presented 50,000 signatures collected from Thrissur district.
